Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between Studyra Academy (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute," "we," "us," or "our") and the student (hereinafter referred to as "you," "your," or "the Student"). By enrolling in any course offered by the Institute, you expressly agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not enroll or continue with the enrollment process.
1. Admission and Enrollment
Admission to any course offered by Studyra Academy is granted at the discretion of the Institute based on the eligibility criteria specified for each program. Enrollment becomes effective upon admission approval and payment of applicable fees, subject to the Institute's Cancellation and Refund Policy.
- The Student represents that all information provided is true, accurate, and complete.
- Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis subject to seat availability.
- Falsification of documents shall constitute a material breach and entitle the Institute to terminate enrollment without refund.
- The Institute reserves the right to reject applications for legitimate academic, administrative, compliance, or disciplinary reasons.
2. Fees and Payment
All fees are payable as per the fee structure communicated at the time of admission. The fee structure is subject to change at the Institute's discretion.
All online payments are processed through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. The Institute does not store any cardholder data or banking credentials.
- Refunds, if any, shall be governed exclusively by the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
- Late payment may attract penal interest as determined by the Institute.
- Payment disputes must be raised within 7 business days of the transaction date.
3. Placement Assistance
The Institute provides placement assistance to eligible students. The Student expressly acknowledges that placement assistance does not constitute, imply, or guarantee any offer of employment. Placement opportunities are subject to market conditions and the Student's performance, skills, attendance, and conduct.
- Placement assistance is available only for students meeting minimum attendance and academic requirements.
- Students must clear all dues before being eligible for placement support.
- The Institute disclaims any liability for the nature or terms of employment offered by third-party employers.
- No assurances are made regarding salary packages or career progression.
4. Affiliation
Studyra Academy is affiliated with the STED Council for certification and skill development programs. The Institute operates as an independent educational entity and is solely responsible for the delivery of its courses and services.
- Affiliation is subject to compliance with STED Council rules and regulations.
- The Institute may modify or discontinue course offerings in compliance with STED Council directives.
- Discontinuation of affiliation shall not entitle the Student to any refund or claim against the Institute.
5. Free Add-on Skill Programs
The Institute offers free add-on skill improvement programs including Spoken English training and Microsoft Excel proficiency. These services are provided as a goodwill gesture.
These programs are delivered through third-party service providers. The Institute reserves the right to terminate a Student's access to these programs without refund if the Student engages in inappropriate behavior, misuses resources, or fails to adhere to the code of conduct.
6. Student Conduct and Discipline
All students are expected to maintain high standards of conduct. The Institute maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct and illegal activities.
The Institute may terminate enrollment without refund if the Student:
- Engages in illegal activities — Violates Indian law, including IPC, NDPS Act, or other applicable legislation.
- Misconduct — Harassment, abuse, intimidation, or disruptive behavior.
- Unauthorized absence — Absent for more than 30 consecutive days without approval.
- Falsification — Submission of forged documents or false information.
- Damage to property — Wilful damage to Institute property.
- Academic dishonesty — Plagiarism, cheating, or academic misconduct.
- Policy violations — Repeated violation of Institute policies.
Except in cases involving criminal activity, violence, or fraud, the Institute may provide the Student an opportunity to explain before termination.
7. Attendance Requirements
- Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance to be eligible for certification and placement.
- Absence exceeding 30 consecutive days may result in termination of enrollment.
- Medical leave must be supported by valid medical certificates.
8. Online Learning
- Internet Connectivity: Student is responsible for stable internet and equipment.
- Session Recording: The Institute may record sessions for academic purposes.
- Meeting Links: Sharing of links with unauthorized persons is prohibited.
- Unauthorized Recording: Students are prohibited from recording or distributing sessions.
9. Intellectual Property
All course materials, study resources, and content provided by Studyra Academy are the exclusive intellectual property of the Institute.
- Students are granted a limited license for personal educational use only.
- Unauthorized distribution or commercial use is strictly prohibited.
10. Data Protection
Student personal information shall be collected, processed, and stored in accordance with the Institute's Privacy Policy and applicable Indian data protection laws.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STUDYRA ACADEMY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
The Institute shall not be liable for:
- Any loss or damage arising from the use of our services.
- Any employment outcomes or salary expectations.
- Force majeure events as defined in Section 15.
- Actions of third-party service providers.
- Any indirect or consequential damages.
Total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Student.
12. Indemnification
The Student agrees to indemnify Studyra Academy from any claims arising out of:
- Breach of these Terms;
- Violation of any applicable law;
- Student's misconduct or negligence;
- Claims made by third parties arising out of the Student's actions.
13. Amendments
Studyra Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms. Updated terms shall be published on the website and become effective upon publication. For material changes, email notification may also be provided.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of India, including the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. Parties shall first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiations.
15. Force Majeure
The Institute shall not be liable for delays or failures resulting from:
- Natural disasters, epidemics, or pandemics;
- Government orders or regulatory actions;
- Internet or network failures;
- Labor disputes or civil unrest;
- Acts of God, war, or terrorism.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Cancellation and Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the Institute and the Student.
By enrolling at Studyra Academy, the Student acknowledges that:
- The Student has read, understood, and agrees to these Terms.
- The Student has had sufficient opportunity to review these Terms before enrollment.
- Placement assistance is not guaranteed.
- Refunds are governed exclusively by the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
- The Institute may terminate enrollment for misconduct or unauthorized absence beyond 30 days.
- The Student consents to data processing as per the Privacy Policy.
